Possibility to extend maximum number of entries and race format

Updated: Feb 27, 2021

February 8, 2021, Tallinn

Dear ORC Worlds 2021 entrants,

With six months to go until the beginning of the ORC World Championship 2021 in Tallinn, Estonia, the event has attracted already 119 teams from 13 nations and we are looking forward to a great championship. However, these are the numbers of boats that completed their online entry but to be considered as pre-registered entry, in addition to the online entry, entry fee payment confirmation is needed

At this moment only 51 out of 119 entered boats have paid entry fee and may be considered as pre-registered. We are also aware of big number of boats in Class C with completed online entry form (75), out of which only 31 can be considered as pre-registered with paid entry fee.

The Notice of Race is setting up a limit of maximum 50 boat per class with criteria for selecting boats in case of more than 50 entries are received. However, Organizers are in contact with the ORC looking also for a possibility to extend maximum number of entries and change race format, if needed. But, to get final decision, it is important to have final number of pre-registered boats with entry fee paid as soon as possible. Therefore, you are kindly invited to complete your entry process with the entry fee payment, if you did not already. Also, please inform us if for any unlucky reasons you have to cancel your participation at the championship.

Once we have final number of entrants properly updated, we will review the situation and together with the ORC make decision on number of boats in Class C.

Best regards,

Organizing Authority
